About Me

My photo
gardengirl
My name is Roxanne and I am a full time gardener and a part time restaurant server. I have a wonderful husband who encourages me to follow my dreams and passions and 2 grown children who grew up with (as they put it) a tree hugger. I love to be in my yard, growing and raising my own produce and enjoying my little piece of paradise. One of my favorite daily pastimes is planning my evening’s dinner around the fruits and vegetables just picked from our yard. As with most gardeners I have met, I have a deep caring for the earth, and I try to incorporate this in to all aspects of my daily life. My favorite hobbies revolve around gardening – working in my garden, teaching gardening classes, attending gardening classes and recycling and reusing items in my yard. I decided to combine these hobbies and create a frugal garden blog. It’s a great way to share many of the ideas and tips I have gathered over the years, while reusing and recycling everyday household items that would end up in our local landfill. Thanks for joining me on this journey.
